Biscuit, I know how you feel about people driving past the speed limit. How does that fit in with your philosophy? Who would enforce the speed limit? _________________ Bing News - The Best Place To Get Your News

Well, actually we're working on something over at GA where...
Ok, just kidding. Seems like the police would love to get their hands on a couple surveilance drones though. |

My philosophy??
The speed limit??
The CHP are nothing more than Nazi's for the state, their job is only to make the state more money, while building up their own pensions and taking early retirements from phoney disabilities, etc.. |

Maybe it wasn't you. I thought you and Deb got into it once because she said she exceeded the speed limit. No? _________________ Bing News - The Best Place To Get Your News

LOL, I think so, but her main aguement was that people should move over and get out of her way while she's speeding!! LOL....
Deb is cool, but yeah, we did have a go around on this one!!
But thats not why I hate the CHP so much....it goes beyond just the speed limits or other laws. |

CHP collects a speeding tax from those unlucky enough to get caught when they are out on a revenue run. I have a good friend who is a retired CHP officer who took the early injury retirement Biscuit speaks of and he is on the money on that one! |

California Crosswalk Laws and Right of Way Issues
Daily, the California Highway Patrol office receives numerous inquiries about the CALIFORNIA CROSSWALK LAW (CCL). To assist with the dissemination of the CCL, the following information was compiled from the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office, reviewed and edited by Mark Vos, lead Deputy District Attorney, Appellate Services Unit:
Drive, or don't drive; this topic aims to reconcile divided opinions on how to properly enforce California crosswalk law. Although pedestrian safety is of paramount importance, pedestrians in crosswalks do not have an unlimited right-of-way, but only a qualified one. For example, motorists need not wait for pedestrians to finish crossing before they pass through a crosswalk, if drivers do so at a reasonably safe distance from the pedestrians at a reasonably safe speed. Moreover, pedestrians must be mindful of their own duties toward motorists. Practically, enforcement of crosswalk law depends upon officers' sound judgment and expertise.

Fatal Accident West of Kiowa Road on Rock Spring Road – Motorcycle Involved Collision in Apple Valley
(Best Syndication) On October 24, 2007, at 7:10 p.m., Rene Meza was driving his motorcycle eastbound Rock Springs Road just west of Kiowa Road at approximately 55 miles per hour. David Chapman was driving his Ford Expedition westbound Rock Springs Road just west of Kiowa Road at 40-45 miles per hour.
For unknown reasons, Meza allowed his motorcycle to crossover the painted double yellow lines and travel directly into the path of the approaching Ford Expedition. Subsequently, the front end of the motorcycle collided head on into the front of the Ford Expedition. Upon impact, Meza was ejected off his motorcycle and sustained fatal blunt force trauma.

He was was a nice kid who's parents moved up here (partialy) to keep him away from the gangs down in Chino Hills. Played football and was an imposing figure of a young man. Polite as they come and very respectfull.
He went to school to become an engineer and worked as a survier at the same time.
His parents are some of the nicest additians to the neighborhood that I have seen in many years. Truely decent and very nice people.
His daddy imagrated from El Salvador when he was a teen and made something of himself with hard work and smart envestment, and more hard work.
This sucks! I really liked this young man.
RIP Rene. _________________ "Trying to determine what is going on in the world by reading newspapers is like trying to tell the time by watching the second hand of a clock." Ben Hecht (1894-1964) |
