The Seattle Seahawks and the Pittsburgh Steelers square off Sunday in Super Bowl 40 (XL).  The Steelers were not expected to be there.  They were not supposed to survive three consecutive road games to make it there.  But they did.

This year the Super Bowl will be in Detroit.  “Detroit would be a frozen and forlorn destination. An easy target for any hack with a computer or microphone. But it hasn't been”, according to Mike Lopresti of USA Today. Many have criticized Detroit for their declining economy.  The Big 3 have announced major layoffs.  The ridership of their People Mover has long been a symbol for what people think is wrong with the city, according the ABC News.
